I am so appreciative or your magic and medicine and knowledge Lisa, and so love the concept of what you are doing.
Recently I did an online course with fempreneur coach Lisa Wennekes, exploring how we can develop an intimate and meaningful relationship with our hormones. I learned about how to connect with my thymus gland and deepen my sense of self and my boundaries - what am I and what am I not. I learned about my adrenals and how to discern when I am using them for their true purpose and what happens in my body when I push myself too hard. And what happens to my female body and my ovaries when I push myself too hard :)
Becoming more intimate with our bodies, learning how to truly inhabit and understand and appreciate ourselves is super empowering! As a female-bodied person it's also a huge relief as that constant background feeling of "living life this way doesn't quite feel right" is becoming quieter and quieter the more I use my body and its cyclical nature as a guide.
We humans are so used to using our differences against us rather than celebrating their potential for enhancing collaboration between us. And we're still very much in the echo of Feminism's shadow of women trying to emulate men in order to be competent and strong.
But here’s a fact: those of us in female bodies have very different levels of hormones than those in male bodies! And another fact: we try and act like this is not the case!
What is life like when we as women connect deeply with our bodies, learn about how they function best and then flow in synch with them? As cyclical beings, how does it affect our creative endeavours and our business, our space holding and facilitation when we are aware of our hormones and how this impacts us?
